About Me

Hi, I’m James Schenck, known to many as Jim, and to others as Santiago. This site showcases two businesses, one is my consulting business – JSS International Consulting, and the other is a historical commercial property owned by my spouse and me – Magma Dorada LLC. You can visit each of them from the menu above or the links on this page.

We’ve lived most of lives in Mexico, Central & South America which has been good! Came back to the States a few years back and eventually found ourselves in Superior, Arizona which has become home. More on Superior, AZ on the Magma Dorada LLC page.

I came to Superior, AZ in 2014 to work at Resolution Copper as the Community Manager. Later I served a few years with  VISTA – Volunteers in Service to America as an Economic Sustainability Promoter doing capacity-building with Rebuild Superior, Inc. and currently serve as Treasurer. I also work with Legends of Superior Trails as the organization’s VP. In addition to the two volunteer positions and my JSS International Consulting business, I work part-time with the Town of Superior.

JSS International Consulting

JSS International Consulting provides services to the mineral extractive industry and to public, private and non-profit international development organizations.

Magma Dorada LLC

Magma Dorada LLC manages the Magma Dorada Building that originally was home to the Superior Sun newspaper in the historical center of Superior, Arizona.
